Japanese academics Prof. Yamakawa and Prof. Suzuki visit our Embassy, April 23

We had a great honor to welcome the first Japanese member of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Prof. Tamio Yamakawa, with his colleague Prof. Kunihiko Suzuki at our Embassy.

As a renowed expert in biochemistry, Prof. Yamakawa, a member of Japan Academy and Honorary Professor of Tokyo University, had an opportunity to establish and nurture relations with Serbian distinguished scientists, like academician Dusan Kanazir, for decades. He became the first member of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts from Japan in 1988.

The meeting was an occasion to exchange opinions on the strenghtening scientific and academic ties between Serbia and Japan. Prof. Yamakawa and his colleague Prof. Suzuki, who is also a member of Japan Academy and a great expert in the field of neurochemistry with a vast experience in international cooperation, expressed their readiness to support our initatives and project aiming to enchance the bilateral scientific cooperation.
